I am a Mental Health Professional with over 40 years of hands on experience helping and working to better the lives of children and their families throughout the state of Georgia. I’ve known since the age of 12, when I was adopted by a loving family that provided for me, that I wanted to provide that same opportunity for other children in need.
Through my work in Behavioral Sciences at Tift College in Forsyth, GA, as well as Master Studies in Family Counseling at the University of Georgia, and Mercer University in Macon, GA, I gained the foothold of skills that have lead me through a flourishing career that has given me the gift of working with children. I am married and have four children and three grandchildren, and I hope to make a better place for them, and everyone I come in contact with.
I have worked as a Social Worker, a School Counselor, and as a Counselor for Georgia’s Department of Corrections, Director of two outpatient facilities for Charter Medical (you may remember “if you don’t get help at Charter, please get help somewhere”) and as a Contractor for the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS). After working for several years for several companies that provides services to DFCS I started my own company in 2004, Tomorrow’s Hope for Children Inc.
After 10 years of growth and success, I have started on a new path that will help me get closer to the families and people that my work is impacting. I’m looking forward to new opportunities that provide the ability to enrich my community.
